Family Portraits 2009

Last night, George and I took the kids in and got "family" portraits done. Of course, he and I had our portraits done separately with the kids, but they were still family portraits. Even though the kids have been sick the last few days, they were in really good moods and full of smiles. I took these portraits from the picture CD we purchased and edited them using Picnik. The prints we actually ordered are different then these.

{And yes mom, you are getting some for Christmas! I just don't want to tell you which ones so I'm not sharing them all!}

How to spell Walmart...

Anyway...

Lorelei and I took a trip over to Walmart after I picked her up from school. It was purely an excuse to waste a bit of the afternoon. We ended up buying her a couple little things she just "couldn't live without", which is what usually happens when I take my little shopping buddy out with me.

As we pulled into the parking lot to begin our excursion, Lorelei pipes up from the backseat, "Mom, I know how to spell Walmart!" And so I asked her to spell it for me, knowing she was merely reading the letters off the building, but wanting to encourage her anyway.

So, in case you didn't know how to spell Walmart properly, it's ---

"W A L star M A R T"

And yes, you say star right in the middle of the spelling. And Lorelei is the boss...so she must be correct. To think all these years I've been spelling it wrong.
