Last Friday, I went on Caleb's field trip to the children's museum. All the kids' had a blast and loved the science experiments and having a couple of hours to run and play. It was disappointing to see that some parents had "forgotten" to send their kid a lunch, but everyone did manage to get something to eat. The chaperones didn't get to ride the bus (which was weird!), but we all carpooled and made it alive! ;) Caleb seemed to enjoy having me there and after we got back to school I got to help out in his class until the end of the day which was a lot of fun. Hard work though since I don't know where anyone sits and I was handing back artwork!
Yesterday we invited Grammy and Uncle Choo down to our place and we all went to Dairy Queen for ice cream. Caleb wanted a DQ Sandwich, Lorelei opted for the chocolate Dilly Bar. I'll tell you, that girl even eats ice cream slowly! Caleb was the first one finished and just by looking at the ice cream covering his face you knew he'd enjoyed every single bite!
Today Lorelei and I went to the library for a little while to get a few new movies and then we went to McD's for a late breakfast. The credit card processing machines were down so we got our entire breakfast order for free courtesy of the manager. I guess there are times when it pays not to carry cash on you! When we picked up Caleb after school we went and hung out on the playground equipment for an hour or so. After that we hit Walmart and each of the kids' picked out a birthday treat to share with glass tomorrow. I hope their teachers don't mind...CAKE! $40 dollars later and they both have a 1/4 sheet cake to bring to class, small plates and forks. Oy vey!
I just recently got a new camera, so as soon as I get the motivation I've got about 200 pictures to get uploaded. I'll try to get a few up here as soon as I get that done!
