Kindergarten Information Night

So, I had to go for an hour long informational meeting about kindergarten tonight. The teachers took turns explaining the different things the kids would be learning, going over some of the things they'd like for parents to do or participate in and telling us about the future types of "homework" the kids will have as the year goes on. And then came the question and answer session. Seriously folks, it was not the time to ask why Little Jimmy isn't eating his lunch or to ask the entire group of kindergarten parents to learn how to park. After 25 minutes a lot of us got up and left at which point the principal finally put an end to the little meeting.

Maybe it's easier for me since I have Caleb in 2nd grade already and have had two years to get used to how school tends to operate, or maybe these parents really don't know how to pick up the phone or sit down and write a little note to the teacher. I mean really none of these things needed to be brought up at this meeting and almost every question asked has been sent home in a handout since the Open House in August.
