I did end up picking up some Mucinex that the nurse practitioner recommended, but opted to skip the saline nose drops. She also said that if he's really sneezy and has a hard time with his nose running that we can try Claritin for the day time while he's at school. So far, I'm thinking the Mucinex is helping a ton! He's not hacking so hard and he hasn't complained of any pain; which is probably because the cough is controlled a bit.
George had to take Lorelei to school so I could get over the clinic early (we were the first ones there) and then Caleb and I had to pick her up. Given the nice 49 degrees we're sitting at today I opted to drive over there instead of forcing Caleb out into the cold air. Afterall, if I'm keeping him home sick, then he could at least tone down the physical activities for the day.
Other items for today:
- I signed Lorelei and I up for a pajama party at school on November 7th. I'm not sure how I feel about wandering around in my pajamas with a bunch of people I don't know, but I'll get over it.
- School picture day is tomorrow. I just realized that I only have an envelope for Lorelei and nothing for Caleb. So...do I order pics or not? My plan was just class pictures. I don't know if we'll get the pictures we ordered from M------------ School or not. I'd hope they'll send them, but who knows what will happen? I'll probably send an envelope with some money and hope his teacher will fill out a form so that I can get what I want for both of them, or get to school early and hit up the office for one.
- I broke out my crockpot for the first time in forever! I've got a beef stroganoff going right now. It's starting to make the house smell all delicious.
